Safe, respectful care begins with clear information.
These policies help protect your dog, your home, the caregiver, and the surrounding community.
Home Access and Lockboxes
Easy Days will provide each client with a lockbox to remain at the client’s home.
Your key will remain secured inside the lockbox on your property. Easy Days will not remove your key from the premises or retain a separate copy.
Clients must disclose all special, unreliable, unusual, or “tricky” entry instructions before services begin. This includes sticking locks, damaged doors, unreliable keypads, difficult gates, alarm delays, hidden entrances, or any other issue that could prevent safe entry.
When a lockout or reentry service is required because an access issue was not disclosed, the client is responsible for the related locksmith, property-management, emergency-entry, or reentry cost.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the key, lockbox, doors, gates, alarms, and access codes remain functional.
Behavior and Bite History
Clients must fully disclose:
Previous bites or attempted bites.
Snapping, lunging, or guarding behavior.
Fear of strangers.
Handling sensitivity.
Leash reactivity.
Escape behavior.
Resource guarding.
Aggression toward people or animals.
Triggers related to food, toys, doors, equipment, or physical touch.
This information does not automatically disqualify a dog from care. It allows Easy Days to make a responsible safety decision and create an appropriate introduction plan.
Care may be declined, paused, or ended when behavior creates an unreasonable safety risk.
Safe Equipment
Clients must provide properly fitted and functional equipment appropriate for their dog.
Easy Days may decline to walk a dog when a leash, collar, harness, carrier, crate, gate, or other necessary item appears damaged, unsafe, improperly fitted, or unsuitable for secure handling.
Weather and Air Quality
Your dog’s safety takes priority over completing a full outdoor walk during dangerous weather.
Walks may be shortened, modified, moved to a shaded or protected area, or converted into an indoor enrichment and potty visit during:
Extreme heat or cold.
Severe storms.
Dangerous wind chills.
Poor air quality.
Ice or unsafe walking conditions.
Other weather-related hazards.
Easy Days will use professional judgment based on conditions, official advisories, your dog’s health, and your dog’s individual tolerance.
Health and Emergencies
Clients must provide current veterinarian information, emergency contacts, and authorization for emergency veterinary care.
When a dog appears ill, injured, or in immediate danger, Easy Days will attempt to contact the client and emergency contact.
When urgent action is reasonably necessary and the client cannot be reached, Easy Days may contact the dog’s veterinarian or transport the dog to an appropriate veterinary provider according to the client’s authorization.
Veterinary and transportation expenses remain the client’s responsibility.
Cameras and Privacy
Clients must disclose indoor cameras located in areas where care will occur.
Cameras may not be placed in bathrooms, sleeping areas provided for overnight care, or other locations where a caregiver would reasonably expect privacy.
Easy Days respects the client’s home and privacy and expects the same consideration in return.
Scheduling and Arrival Windows
Service requests are not confirmed until they have been accepted through the client portal.
Unless an exact appointment time has been specifically approved, services may be scheduled within an agreed arrival window.
Arrival times may be affected by traffic, weather, emergencies, or the needs of another dog receiving care. Easy Days will communicate when a significant delay is expected.
Cancellations
Cancellation charges may apply based on the type of service, timing of the cancellation, and whether the reserved time can reasonably be filled.
The cancellation terms displayed in the client agreement and booking portal will control each reservation.
Overnight care, holidays, and high-demand dates may have separate cancellation requirements.
Holidays and High-Demand Dates
Holiday and high-demand availability is limited.
Advance requests are strongly encouraged and may be subject to additional charges, minimum booking requirements, or special cancellation terms.
A request is not confirmed until it has been formally accepted.
